I was Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and a life long love of music began. I first learned to stand by pulling myself up the leg of the family piano so I could bang on the keys and sing. Some of my earliest musical memories are of my mother playing the guitar, my sister playing the piano and my uncle playing old time banjo in the parlor. My first guitar came when I was 12. I was hooked and played guitar in a basement band through high school. I was always making things in my father's garage as I grew up, carving, painting, welding, building my way through school. I found work as a Carpenter's helper and then apprenticed to become a Millwright and later went back to school to become a Power Engineer. All the while over a 25 year career in construction and industry I continued to hone my woodworking skills. I always had the dream of wanting to combine my love of music and woodworking to build my own guitars and finally in 2013 I began to build my first instrument and then had to build another and another. In January of 2017 I began working full time at hand crafting musical instruments and sharing my story along the way. My artist wife and I currently live in beautiful Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
